Ballymaloe Cookery School
Feel free to wander through the organic gardens, greenhouses and farm.
 
There is a table tennis table close to the laundry. Bats and balls in a basket (extra balls for sale in the Farm Shop).
 
Parents – please note children must be supervised if close to the pond in the lower garden.
 
Shanagarry village is at the end of the road (turn left at main entrance – about ¼ mile approximately).
 
Beach – turn left in village – Shanagarry strand, about 1 1/2miles
 
Ballycotton village – turn left at Broderick’s petrol station (about 2½ miles).
 
Brodericks is the local village shop, it has basic provisions, newspapers, petrol and diesel for sale and it also has a hot counter.

Local Walks

 
Turn right at the main Cookery School gate, walk to top of the hill – glorious view over Ballycotton Bay.  You can do a full circle in three directions from the top of the hill.
 
 
1.     Turn left and go around by Ballymaloe and Shanagarry village (about 2 1/2 hours).
 
2.     Turn right and walk by Mullins Cross and Garryvoe Beach then back through Shanagarry village to the school (about 2 hours).
 
3.     Go straight across the road, up the hill, turn left and left again and then walk down to the school (1 1/4 hours).
